Supported Coins and Cryptocurrencies
Bitpanda supports buying and selling of all the top digital currencies that most traders are interested in.
Check out the full list (current to August 2020) below.
If you don’t see the coin you want, it may be worth checking out Bitpanda’s supported currency page to see if there are any updates since this writing.
Like most large exchanges and brokers who service many western countries, Bitpanda requires its users to submit to KYC/AML procedures. This means users must provide Bitpanda with a picture of themselves as well as photos of their IDs and perhaps other documentation verifiying their identity.
Because of this, Bitpanda offers very little privacy. Unfortunately, there is no way around this compliance except to buy Bitcoins from someone you know or connect to online, but this can be a hassle and potentially dangerous if you don’t know the person very well.
Thankfully, Bitpanda’s KYC is minimal compared to comparable exchanges so the intrusion is relatively tolerable.

Bitpanda has one of the best user interfaces of all the larger, more established crypto exchanges and brokers. Perhaps the only one who does it better is Coinbase.
Bitpanda was previously named Coinimal and was founded in October 2014.
The company won a startup award in October 2016 and has been a trusted company in the Bitcoin space since its launch.
Additionally, Bitpanda serves over 1.2 million customers worldwide and has a 4.6 star score on trustpilot as a result of 2,652 reviews
Although Bitpanda does not display fees publically on the website, we know the fees are low since their spot price for coins and metals is not drastically higher than on other sites.
Fees on Bitpanda are baked into the price you are paying for the coin as opposed to an explicit fee being charged separately.
Bitpanda does charge a separate set of fees for transactions in and out of the platform. For instance, if you deposit less than 0.05 Bitcoin, you will pay a wallet deposit fee of 0.0001BTC. If you withdraw less than 0.0015BTC, you will pay a wallet withdrawal fee of .00049680 BTC.
All of these minimums and maximums are different for every coin, so we don’t have time to outline all of them, but you can easily check your desired coin on Bitpanda’s limits page.
Bitpanda Ecosystem Token (BEST)
The BEST Bitpanda Token is very similar to other exchange tokens. Owning them allows you to get a 25% discounts on trading fees as well as lower deposit fees.
The token is not necessary to trade on Bitpanda and the value of the token goes up and down, so even if you get discounts on your trading, you may still end up losing by owning the coin.
Different levels of ownership offer different benefits:
Buying Precious Metals on Bitpanda
Interestingly, Bitpanda has expanded its operations into precious metals sales such as Gold, Silver, and Palladium.
It never hurts to diversify a portfolio with gold and silver, and Bitpanda makes it easy if you already have an account set up from buying crypto.
You can even let them store the metal for you, and you can swap it out for any digital currency on the platform at any time.
Bitpanda Metals also offers other features, such as recurring buys and 0% insurance and storage premiums.
Bitpanda has customer support that responds quickly using the support request form on all pages of its website.
They also offer some of the best guides of any exchange on the market.
